Before you play, be sure to open the settings and set the note closest to the middle of your comfortable vocal range. The melodies will all be centered around this note. If you aren't sure, start with 'A3' for men or 'D4' for women. You can adjust this up/down later if you have trouble reaching the lowest/highest notes in the levels.
When the level begins, you will hear some chords to help establish the key. Then you will hear the tonic note, which corresponds to the green note in the center of the gameboard. You will then need to sing the notes that appear on the gameboard. Each note is numbered relative to the tonic note.
Sing the notes as they cross the black line. The arrow will follow the pitch you are singing. The arrow turns white if you are singing the correct note.
You can hum the note, sing the name of the note, or just sing a vowel of your choice (like ooh or aah). There are breaks to take breaths after every four notes.
Your score for each note is determined by how long you remain on the note and how accurate your pitch is, up to a maximum. The note will turn white once you reach the maximum score for that note.
When starting a new game, you can choose one of the standard levels, which get progressively harder, or you can generate a random level with custom parameters.
The early levels all start on the tonic, which is the note you hear playing at the beginning of the level. At the start of the level, try to match your singing pitch to the tonic note that you hear, then move up or down from there as needed. Try the tutorial level for more help.
